Our Story

One of the first questions we get asked is, how do you two work together every day? The truth is we truly don’t know any different as we have been doing it for almost thirty years. We absolutely love what do and are grateful to do it together. We are passionate about hospitality and why it isn’t the same as service. We believe off premise catering must involve cooking food onsite and we build out kitchens on location to do it. We view work as an opportunity, not as a chore and seek out others like us. We love analysis, systems and continual improvement. We wake up each day knowing that our effort, our work and our team make a difference to our guests.

Every day is a day to create memories and we appreciate each opportunity.

Our History

A six-burner stove, a handful of clients, a loan and a dream are what started Atlasta almost forty-five years ago. Dale and Martha Short had a desire to create something of their own that would provide for their family and put Dale’s extensive cooking experience to work. Quickly realizing that operating a business on a shoe string budget was not for the weary or faint of heart, Dale poured all of his time into the business.

Atlasta became a place where Steve went to spend time with his dad (who always seem to be there). The sounds and the smells of the kitchen, the sheer force of will and the camaraderie between cooks, all became embedded in Steve at a young age and forever changed his path.
